Rho Tau Chapter

On behalf of the brothers of the Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity Inc., Rho Tau Chapter, welcome and thank you for visiting our official website. The Rho Tau chapter motto is "Omega Men Building Valuable Friendships".  On November 17, 1911 Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was founded. It was founded on the basis of Friendship by three undergraduates and one graduate advisor, to form a resilient life bond. Their mission was to find other men of like mind and ideals, and most importantly men who possessed outstanding leadership qualities. To that end, Rho Tau’s aim is to uphold our founder’s vision by building friendships, partnerships and taking the lead to uplift our communities.

Rho Tau is a part of the “Talented Tenth District”, which includes the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Rho Tau's chapter history dates back to 1961 in Evanston, IL. Currently, Rho Tau is located and serves the Lake County, IL community in addition to Kenosha County, WI. Our chapter consists of college graduates and professionals who work and reside in Lake County, IL and Kenosha County, WI.

Our chapter initiatives include the Founders Banquet, Omega Golf Outing, Dr. Charles Drew Blood Drive, local high school talent hunt, and scholarship fundraisers. Our social action projects consist of Assault on Literacy, Adopt-a-Highway, food pantry, toy/clothing drive, and mentoring. For further details please take the time look at our website.
